Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) has won the 58th edition of the Tirreno- Adriatico Crédit Agricole ahead of João Pedro Gonçalves Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) and Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineos Grenadiers).
Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) has won Stage 7, 154 km with start and finish in San Benedetto del Tronto. Dylan Groenewegen (Team Jayco AlUla) and Alberto Dainese (Team DSM) finished second and third, respectively.
Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the winner of the race Primoz Roglic, said: “It’s just nice to come back to racing this way. I really enjoyed the whole week. My team-mates were super strong. One week ago I was just expecting to suffer. It’s even better to win when it’s unexpected. It feels good ahead of the Giro d’Italia too”.
The stage winner Jasper Philipsen said: “We managed to be in the best position with the team and then I just rode as fast as possible until the finish line. Mathieu did a gread leadout again. I am very happy of my Tirreno-Adriatico and I hope to be in the best shape for the upcoming races”.
