Primoz Roglic wins Stage 4 of the Tirreno-Adriatico. Lennard Kämna is the new Maglia Azzurra

Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) has won Stage 4 of the 58th edition of the Tirreno-Adriatico Crédit Agricole, the 218km long Greccio-Tortoreto. Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal Quick-Step) and Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates) finished second and third, respectively.

Lennard Kämna (Bora – Hansgrohe) is the new the Maglia Azzurra.

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the stage winner Primoz Roglic, said: “Our plan was to go for a result today but I wasn’t the first plan. It was for Wout but after his crash we changed the plan and I won. It’s always nice to win and it’s impressive to see how fast I recovered from my injuries”.

The new Maglia Azzurra Lennard Kämna said: “To be honest I was underestimating the stage this morning. I didn’t think that the climb was so hard but on the first passage I got the feeling that I could take the jersey from Ganna. I fought hard for it. For sure we’ll try to defend the jersey now although it’s gonna be hard”.
