Julian Alaphilippe wins the Faun Ardèche Classic in a sprint ahead of David Gaudu

The French double World Champion, Julian Alapahilippe (Soudal Quick-Step) won in a sprint ahead of his compatriot David Gaudu (Groupama – FDJ) this Saturday, February 25, at the Faun Ardèche Classic in Guilherand-Granges (07).

Having broken away 24 km from the finish, the two Frenchmen worked well together and stayed away until the finish, completing a fantastic day of racing.

This is Julian Alapahilippe’s first victory of the season and the 40th of his career.

Dane Mattias Skjelmose Jensen (Trek Segafredo) completes the podium, just ahead of  Victor Lafay (Cofidis), who comes from this region.
